there are two major differences between the diving operators on the island: the style of their boats.

 

traditional boats bring you from the northern village 'ban saladan' to the dive sites, offering a full day excursion with breakfast and lunch during the cruise. the closer dive sites are around 2 hrs boat ride away, others like theking cruiser wreck or hin daneg andhin muang take a 4 hours trip. tanks, dive guides, fish books and drinks are on the boat as well as space for relaxing, meeting people and enjoying a beautiful day on the sea.

speedboats are used by a few dive shops who see the advantage in small groups of divers and, obviously, short rides. lunch and dive guides are generally included in the trips and evenfar away destinations are within 1 hour reach.
