the best diving at racha yai is a long the east coast where good visibilities and prevailing currents allow for gentle drift dives along sloping rocky reefs that are abundant in hard coral forests.

koh racha noi
racha noi attracts more advanced divers, as currents are a bit stronger and depths a bit deeper than on racha yai. the topography underwater is very different, too: huge granite boulders give great opportunities to see manta rays and whale sharks!
on the northern pinnacle reef sharks and stingrays can be found. off the southern point is a nice drift dive along some nice scenery on top of a large rock formation surrounded by deep waters. on the southwest side there is a wooden shipwreck at 27 m that draws a lot of interesting fish. the diving here is more challenging than at racha yai, but also more rewarding.
