only a few hundred meters away from hin daeng, hin muang is like it's sister reef one of the best divesites in thailand.
named after the purple tree corals covering the steep walls plunging down to around 60 m: only 20 m wide and around 200 m long the reef stands in the open sea like wall. the reef is completely submerged and the shallowest part in the west is covered with a carpet of anemones.
everything can be encountered around this bizarre rock: large pelagics like barracudas, tunas, trevallies and rainbow runners and like hin daeng it is a magnet for manta rays and whale sharks all year around to find feeding ground and cleaning stations.
