the andaman sea:

the andaman sea along thailand's western coast offers some world class dive sites such as the richelieu rock, koh haa group and the twins hin daeng and hin muang. there're at least two major manta points in the area and whale sharks come through every year on their migration.

the tropical warm waters from 27 to 30°C are rich in nutrition swept along by the currents. these conditions developed a versatile marine life. there are picturesque multi coloured coral gardens, home to all kind of tropical reef fish, leopard sharks and turtles.

the diving is most versatile thanks to the reef formations: there're the typical lime stone pinnacles, granitic rocks, softly descending slopes, fantastic walls, caves, swim throughs, protected lagoons and wrecks.

all levels of divers find their perfect spot, as the reefs are beautiful in the shallows as well as at deeper areas.

during november and april is the best time for calm seas and good weather, though more and more operators bring their boats out during the rest of the year too, as there are only very few boats around on the reefs...
